I work with individuals aged 18+. I have successfully helped people with issues such as: relationships, trauma, stress, depression, overwhelming emotions, self-harm, suicidal feelings, anxiety and more.
My areas of professional focus are complex trauma and sexual abuse.
I can work with people with mental health diagnoses, severe and long-term difficulties and people working with mental health teams.
I know that our mainstream mental health system can be unhelpful and harmful sometimes. particularly for people with marginalised identities and those who have been given diagnoses with stereotypes and negative attitudes attached to them. I care about helping people recover from these experiences and become empowered to find a way of healing that’s right for them.
I am an LGTQIA+ affirming therapist and work with gender, sex and relationship diversity. I am a neurodiversity affirming therapist and I have also accessed additional training around cultural competence.
You don't have to find what you're experiencing on this list. No one can be defined in a few words and ultimately what makes therapy successful is how seen and safe you feel with your therapist.
If you're thinking about working with me you might want to know more about my experience in a particular area.
Maybe you want to check out how I think about some part of your life or identity before you trust me with it.
You are welcome to get in touch and ask anything.

Get in touch by email, phone or text and ask to book your free 30-minute consultation.
You can tell me as much or as little about what's been going on as you want to at this point.
If a phone call isn't ideal for your consultation just let me know and we'll find the best way for you.
I’ll get back to you to arrange a time for us to speak. I always aim to get back to you within two working days.

There’s no right or wrong way to do therapy - literally every session looks different!
It's really normal to feel like you have no idea how to start talking about what's going on.
I’ll have some questions to ask you, so don’t worry about what to say, we'll get there!
-
This depends on what's happening for you and where you would like to get to.
Some people feel they’ve got what they need after a couple of months, some people come to therapy for well over a year.
From our initial session, or after a few sessions, we will have a good idea about if what you want to achieve is likely to be long or short term work.
There is no limit to the number of sessions you can have. We'll regularly view how things are going and what you want, and plan our sessions around this.
-
When you book a first session with me I will send you a welcome letter/email which will include full information on how to get to the building, transport advice and what to expect.
Your sessions will take place a short walk away from Leeds Dock and the Royal Armouries Museum, and a 20-minute walk from the city centre, bus and train station.
There is limited free parking within the building's car park, but this isn't guaranteed, particularly before 5pm. It is likely you will be able to get a space after 5pm.
When you arrive at the building, the receptionist will show you to the seated waiting area. I'll then meet you there at your session time to go to my room which is private and comfortable.
-
I offer in-person, online and phone sessions. Accessibility is important to me, so please let me know if there is anything that would make it easier for you to have sessions such as planned breaks in your session, covid harm reduction measures or particular communication methods.
For in person sessions, there is a seated area where you can wait if you are early for your session, and stairs or a lift to go upstairs to my room.
I have accessed additional training around cultural competence and am a neurodiversity affirming therapist. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and work with gender, sex and relationship diversity.
If you're thinking about working with me, you might want to know my experience in a particular area, or maybe check out how I think about some part of your life or identity before you trust me with it. You are welcome to get in touch and ask anything.
I know that each of us has walked a different path through life, so I am always open to learning so I can understand and support you in the best way I possibly can.
-
You can pay by cash at your session, or by bank transfer before your session.
-
When you book your first session with me I will send you a welcome letter/email, which includes full information on how to access your online session and what to expect.
I use Google Meet for online sessions. Google Meet is a safe and secure video call platform, which encrypts data in transit and allows me control over who is able to enter the call.
You do not need to have any kind of app or software installed to enter a Google Meet session. Simply click on the link you receive from me and you will be able to enter your online session.
We can discuss an alternative platform if this is not suitable for you.
-
You are not contracted to have sessions at any point and are always free to stop having sessions or take a break from therapy.
-
I’m always happy to answer any questions or discuss any concerns.
You are very welcome to get in touch, I always aim to get back to you within one working day.
